Kia Optima Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Kia Optima cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was $46,658. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till $54,079. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 26 % from $50,368.5 to $63,279. In the last two, the price has gone through a -6 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from $56,823.75 to $53,147.5 during February and March.
The average price for Kia Optima has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2000 and 2016, the average price is $12,132.75. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2000 ($3,074) moving up till ($19,608)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 78 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 11 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($24,290.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2019, 2020) with a price of $26,931.
