The Jeep Patriot has the stylish and sophisticated look that people often think of when they recall the Jeep brank. The engine of the Jeep Patriot isn’t as powerful as many of the competitors in this class. It comes with the standard 4 cylinder engine but there is also a turbo charged upgrade available. All models are four wheel drive and do well balancing between a daily driver and an off road excursion vehicle. It offers decent fuel mileage of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
There is less cargo space offered, but there is more leg room in the back seating area than with many compact SUVs. The interior of the Jeep Patriot is very basic but there aren’t any essentials lacking. There aren’t cluttered controls that get in the way. Some additional upgrades to consider include heated seats and a built in navigation system.
The Jeep Patriot has one of the lower safety ratings in this class. That doesn’t mean it isn’t safe. However, it doesn’t offer the many upgrades that are offered with some of its competitors. This is a rugged vehicle though and very durable.
