Saturn Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Saturn cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price in March was of $31,861. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $31,816 during April. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from $31,838.5 to $31,929.5. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -39 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from $31,884 to $19,390.5.
The average price for Saturn has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2006, the average price is $3,661.5. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" ($2,097) moving up till ($5,624)in 2006. During the next two years (2007, 2008) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 228 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have experienced a depreciation of -14 % compared to the average prices for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from prices from the the previous four years in a previous sample ($10,537) and the the last two years analyzed (2009, 2010) with a price of $9,053.
