Smart Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Smart cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in March was of $11,540. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $12,011 during April. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from $11,775.5 to $12,176. The average price has had spectacular rise of 28 % with an average price of $11,975.75 during the previous 4 months and $15,349 during the most recent months in July and August.
The average price for Smart has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2008 and 2014, the average price is $6,381.14. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2008 ($5,531) moving up till ($7,544)in 2014. During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 47 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 21 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($11,860) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2017, 2018) with a price of $14,336.
The graph that displays the price for Smart cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 71 % more affordable than the average price ($15,174). Next with a price of $6,489 and a mileage range of "50,000 - 100,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 19% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "less than 10,000" priced at $11,585.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Smart cars points out to "Gasoline" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 32 % less expensive than the average market price ($15,174) followed by "Gas" priced at $11,685. On average the most expensive type of fuel is "Flexible Fuel". It´s price is 27 % higher than the average market price followed by "Electric" which costs $12,047.
