Price for Smart
Smart Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Smart cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price in October was of $16,764. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $16,749 during November. The following two months (December, January) the selling price went through a devaluation of -5 percent in the average selling price compared to the previous two months analyzed. In the last two, the price has gone through a -8 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from $16,318.25 to $15,007.5 during February and March.
The average price for Smart has had a strong rise in recent years. During 2008 and 2015, the average price was $7,121. During this period, prices pretty much remained constant. During the next two years (2016, 2017) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 67 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 8 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($12,980.25) and the the last two years that were studied (2018, 2019) with a price of $14,045.5.
The graph that displays the price for Smart cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 61 % more affordable than the average price ($15,124). Next with a price of $10,356 and a mileage range of "25,000 - 50,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 14% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "less than 10,000" priced at $11,467.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Smart cars points out to "Gas" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 47 % less expensive than the average market price ($15,124) followed by "Gasoline" priced at $10,715. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Electric". It´s price is 14 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Gasoline" with a price of $10,715.
