The retail prices for Ford Escape cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in January was of $40,253. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $40,612 during February. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from $40,432.5 to $40,430. The average price has had spectacular rise of 52 % with an average price of $40,431.25 during the previous 4 months and $61,347 during the most recent months in May and June.
The average price for Ford Escape has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2001 and 2016, the average price is $11,345.88. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2001 ($3,265) moving up till ($26,129)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 192 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 7 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($35,699.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2019, 2020) with a price of $38,253.
