This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $29,526 during May. During the following two months (June, July) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 15 % from $28,903.5 to $33,317.5. The average price has had spectacular rise of 20 % with an average price of $31,110.5 during the previous 4 months and $37,414.5 during the most recent months in August and September.
The average price for Toyota Corolla has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2016, the average price is $9,078.44. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" ($2,856) moving up till ($20,052)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 217 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have experienced a depreciation of -5 % compared to the average prices for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from prices from the the previous four years in a previous sample ($27,301.5) and the the last two years analyzed (2019, 2020) with a price of $25,825.
