Volkswagen New Beetle Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Volkswagen New Beetle cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in February was of $8,576. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $8,429 during March. During the following two months (April, May) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 129 % from $8,502.5 to $19,498.5. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from $14,000.5 to $13,758.5 during June and July.
The average price for Volkswagen New Beetle has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2006, the average price is $4,273.12. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" ($3,358) moving up till ($5,159)in 2006. During the next two years (2007, 2008) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 33 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 6 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($6,017.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2009, 2010) with a price of $6,373.
