While the compact SUV known as the Dodge Journey doesn’t generate as much attention as others in this category, it is a great vehicle to consider. It gets decent fuel mileage of 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
The vehicle features a 4 cylinder engine that is good enough for basic driving and for accelerating. The Dodge Journey isn’t a powerful SUV though for towing. There is an upgrade of a V6 engine offered and that is what is recommended for consumers that will need to tow from time to time.
The vehicle operates very smoothly, even on some of the rougher roads out there. There is plenty of storage in the Dodge Journey including under the second row of seating. There is also a fold out child safety seat offered in the second row which is a great convenience for some consumers. The third row of seating in this vehicle can be a bit cramped in terms of overall leg room.
A rearview camera and side airbags are standard features on the Dodge Journey. There are some additional safety upgrades offered including an all-around camera and collision detection. The price for this compact SUV is also very reasonable.
