Chevrolet Cobalt Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Chevrolet Cobalt cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. The average price in March was of $11,608. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at $11,350 during April. The following two months (May, June) the selling price went through a devaluation of -14 percent in the average selling price compared to the previous two months analyzed. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from $10,679.5 to $10,317.5 during July and August.
The average price for Chevrolet Cobalt has gone through a significant depreciation in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from "before 2000" to 2006, the average price was $9,816.33. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between "before 2000" ($19,500) and 2006 ($5,092). During the following two years, cars belonging to the brand aforementioned had a strong deflation in their selling price of -38 % compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 8 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($6,636.5) and the the last two years that were studied (2009, 2010) with a price of $7,167.5.
